With GCSEs looming our young hopeful, Rob Wilson has been working hard to create revision time in between races and this weekend squeezed out yet another win by a nail-biting margin of just over a minute.
He sent us this account of his experience:
“This weekend was round 3 of the Junior 1000 Rally Championship, the SMC Stages at Anglesey.
“We came into the event confident but nervous as we had been out the car for a while, so I knew I needed to get the early advantage which mean pushing from the word go!
“So after the first two stages we were leading but Martin and I noticed some uncharacteristic understeer, so we softened the car and continued on our push!
“After this we won every stage of the day and this combined with an unfortunate roll for our closest rival of the day, Ioan Lloyd, we won the event by over a minute.
“Yet again there was a lot of media attention at this event with nearly every stage being live-streamed with thousands watching.
“The next event is the Midsummer Stages at Caerwent on 16th June, so a long but much needed break as I have my GCSEs! Many thanks to SPAL for the continued support.”
Keep up the winning streak and best of luck in those exams!
