Maintenance is key to keep Rob Wilson rally ready

The last event in the BTRDA calendar was the Malcom Wilson Rally on 14th March and though future dates are postponed, it is not possible to confirm exactly when they will go ahead. The best thing to do pass the time is some seriously thorough maintenance, as our young racing star Rob Wilson reveals, so when the world unpauses he is rally ready.

“During this lockdown we are making sure we have the car fully prepared and primed for whenever the next event may be. After losing second gear during the last event, we had the gear box rebuild and this included a new second and third gear as well as a few other sensors.

“The gearbox is now back in the car and we have taken the time to do some maintenance; like rebuilding the subframe and driveshafts. We are almost done. As for the rest of the rally season, things are still very unknown as events keep being moved back but we certainly hope to be out competing soon.

“Thanks to the whole team at SPAL.”

Good luck Rob, keep the faith and we hope to be cheering you on when you get back on the track.
