Cenex-LCV review

It was fascinating for the SPAL team walking around Cenex-LCV this week being able to see inside development vehicles including the new Lotus electric platform (described as gorgeous and amazing) as it showed how much progress had been made on the road to net zero emissions.

It was an opportunity to see how SPAL fans had been integrated in various cooling systems not just in cars but buses too.

SPAL well placed at the start of the hydrogen revolution

Although electric in automotive has matured, hydrogen is coming to the fore in commercial vehicles as demonstrated by the staple Ford Transit converted to hydrogen that was on display.

SPAL is predicting a big year for the bus & coach sector in 2022 as only last week TfL announced plans to stop purchasing new ICE buses, including hybrid. After the slump during the pandemic, big names are suddenly going great guns and it was exciting to see the latest hydrogen models with SPAL fans in the cooling packs due to hit the road next year.

Just at the start of the hydrogen revolution, SPAL is well placed to provide effective thermal management with its range of highly efficient brushless technology fans. In applications where hydrogen produces the electricity, cooling is required both for the energy that is being moved around and for the propulsion system.
