SPAL is behind M-Sport all the way as the team continues to perform well in the 2017 rally racing season with its new eco-boost powered Ford Fiesta World Rally Car with engine cooled by SPAL’s specially developed high performance, ultra lightweight 500W brushless axial fan.
From the first outing of the new car at the start of the season at Monte Carlo Rally and most recently in Rally Mexico, M-Sport has been notching up the podium places, a reflection of the development and refinement of the new vehicle to create a leaner, faster, more robust and efficient model.

Key to achieving this was more effective engine cooling in a high powered fan which saved nearly 2 kilos in weight in one component an important factor as M-Sport’s MD Malcolm Wilson, explains:
“The brushless fans are more efficient, the fact that they save weight is the Holy Grail for us on competition cars.”
