Update on COVID-19 impact

SPAL Automotive logo

To all SPAL UK customers

There have been some press reports over the weekend suggesting that the Italian government was about to close all ‘non-essential’ production and factory sites in another attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19.

SPAL Italy is not affected and is operating at full production capacity with deliveries continuing as normal.

Measures have also been taken to increase SPAL’s internal defence against the virus to further reduce the risk and to minimise the impact in case this should happen.

We would therefore again like to reassure customers that SPAL operations in the UK remain normal and so far have not been affected. Orders are still being received and freely dispatched.

In the UK, the sales team and some administration staff are working from home but continue to be available to customers on the usual contact numbers and emails.

Our aim is to ensure that customers receive the same service they have come to expect from SPAL during these challenging times.

We have purposely been overstocked for some time to be able to manage any Brexit issues and we will maintain, or possibly increase, our stock levels if we see the situation changing dramatically.

Matthew Morris, MD, SPAL UK.
