SPAL has signed up to Motorsport Industry Association Conference & Technology Showcase on 19th October to introduce the SCP02 water cooling pump.
Currently proving itself in the construction and bus & coach sectors, SPAL wants to expose the pump to the wider audience attending the event including motorsport, automotive, aerospace, marine, defence, rail and advanced engineering.
Employing the same high-performance brushless technology as its fans, the development of the 24V pump represents a whole new level of thermal management.
A water pump is an essential part of a cooling system particularly in low emission vehicles powered by batteries and hydrogen fuel cells where the energy transfer is intense and can lead to overheating, an effective pump is vital to maintain an optimum operating temperature.
Software controlled with a fully sealed motor unit, the SCP02 offers reliability and efficiency as well as cost savings over a longer working life.
In production early 2023
SPAL MD Matthew Morris says: “This product launch is a natural extension to the thermal management range that meets both technical and market expectations. Going into production early next year and we are excited to be using MIA CTS2022 to give engineers across all sectors an advance preview.”
