We continue in our series of blogs finding more about the SPAL UK team. This time it is the turn of Patricia Mori, Aftermarket BDM Bus & Coach and Truck sectors. As we find out, her partner is a pretty impressive baker and she's lucky to be designated official taster!
How do you like to start the day?
With coffee and cake!
How do you approach dealing with customers over the phone and in person?
I have a positive personality and I like to put that into phone calls to my customers as it helps make me memorable and breaks the ice for when we meet up in person to do business.
Any secrets to getting the best out of the working day?
I love keeping busy so I make sure I have a full diary. To help me be more effective I try to balance out my desk time with my time out on the road to see customers.
What have you learned about establishing a rapport with colleagues?
I try to take care of the people around me in little ways like making them a cup of coffee or sharing some of my home baked goodies. I also enjoy bringing a sense of fun to the office by dressing up for charity events such as Children in Need. If you can make someone smile, it brightens their day.
How would you sum up your philosophy on the work/life balance?
Sales is in my blood, but I also love food especially my partner’s cakes and desserts. I am always looking for new creative challenges and recently passed a make-up course on a technique called brow lamination! When I feel enthusiastic about my home life, it definitely makes me more energetic at work.
